KITCHEN
- This room adjoins the dining room and blends strong elements of art deco with Spanish Colonial Revival. The kitchen and butler’s pantry are wainscoted with Saracen tiles in intense shades of marine blue and persimmon with black accents. Here the tile floor shows substantial wear as compared to the seeming newness of the living room floor. The two-by-four foot oak table is topped with alternating patterns of Saracen tile. Just above it and crowning the wainscoting is a ceramic electric clock in an attractive tile setting. This clock, as well as the ceramic vent over the stove were stock items of the Malibu Potteries.
